Blain Fowler
(board chair) is a founding
member of the Battle River Community Foundation. Blain is the
second-generation owner of his family’s publishing and printing
business in Camrose and believes in boosting the community. Blain
chose to become involved with the Battle River Community
Foundation to help ensure the local area stays strong and
community needs can be met now and in the future.

Vivianne Grue
(vice-chair) served
on the board in its early years, and rejoined in 2007. Vivianne
has always been drawn to the concept of giving back, both at home
and abroad. She is proud to be part of an organization that
contributes to keeping communities in the Battle River area
strong.

Dana Andreassen
(secretary) is a lawyer helping the local
university through an ownership transition. She was
previously executive assistant for the Honourable Ken Rostad when
he served as Solicitor General for the Province of Alberta. Dana
is a home-town girl who joined the Battle River Community
Foundation Board in 2004. She’s pleased to be able to contribute
to keeping our local communities strong.

James Mayer
(treasurer) is a lifetime resident of Camrose and an
active second generation member of Central Agencies, his family's
insurance and real estate business.

Ofrim (director)
is a
third generation Camrosian and owns and operates a local
construction firm. He feels the health of a community is
judged by how well all of its needs are met. The Foundation
goes a long way towards achieving this goal.

Gerry Davis
(director) is co-owner of
a local real estate agency. He’s been in Camrose 30 years and
feels this is a caring and progressive community. Gerry believes
that by establishing permanent endowment funds today we are
helping make the community we serve a better place for future
generations.

Corey Kudrowich
(director) is a Certified
Financial Planner who grew up in the Ryley area. Now raising his
own young family, Corey has a strong interest in ensuring the well
being of the local area. Corey joined the Community Foundation
board in January of 2005.

Tom Kuntz
(director) was the busy
owner of a heavy duty truck engine company at a very early age.
Now that his business involvements are at a more reasonable pace,
Tom is happy to be part of an organization which focuses on
helping communities sustain themselves through good times and bad.

Bayard (By) Reesor (director)
taught Political Studies at Augustana for 30 years before
retirement. He believes strongly in giving back to the
community, and has served on the boards of the Family Violence
Action Society, Music Festival, Camrose Association for Community
Living, and the United Church. He also chaired the
Provincial Archives Advisory Board. By is honoured to be
part of the Community Foundation Board.

Ken Drever
(past chair)
has been with the
Battle River Community Foundation since its inception. He has
served as Chair. Having grown up on a farm near Hardisty and enjoyed a
40-year career as a bulk fuel agent, Ken is very familiar with
east central Alberta. He believes strongly in giving back to the
communities in which he lives and works.

Kerry Grettum (executive director)
left
Camrose after High School and pursued a technical career with the
RCAF in Canada and Europe. After leaving the Air Force, he
joined Honeywell working in Computer Engineering. Kerry returned
to Camrose in 1993. During this time he was very active in The
Chamber of Commerce (President in 2001). In 2007 Kerry was
appointed Returning Officer by Elections Canada. He shares these
duties with the Foundation to which he was appointed in 2009.

Phyllis Robertson
(administrative assistant) has a
solid background in donor relations, having worked in the
Development Office - University of Alberta Augustana Faculty for
the past 23 years. She was raised in Camrose and is proud to be
part of an organization that helps make our community a better
place to live. She joined the Foundation in 2008.
